Guys, any advice on how to bring the wheels on a MK1 back to as near perfect as possible? they are in great condition generally but a clean, polish & paint would be good but am scared to just dive in, anybody know a good restorer or can you advise on the best way forward to get the best results. Thanks in advance for any comments, greatly appreciated Robert

Fatty, seems a bit cheeky , finally got the link to work on laptop, is that your wheels lying against the tyres? and if so they look excellent, I am thinking the wheels I have maybe not that bad so your approach is worth me trying. I take you cleaned them all down then masked them off, standard black paint, did you laquour them also? thanks buddy.

Yep Lacquered the whole lot, then its just a wipe with a soapy sponge to clean up...
