Having found out my original barrel (1GU, '87 rd125) is beyond its last oversize (by some margin!) I have had a rummage through the spares that came with the bike, plus what Ive found on Tinternet and have 2 spare barrels but they are 34X01.
What are the differences between 1GU and 34X01 and is it ok to fit a 34X01 to an RD that originally came with a 1GU barrel?

34X is for the DT, and should have different porting, for lower down torque I think. The RD does use the DT cylinder heads though. MK1 10V and MK2-3 34X
