the other week I changed the clutch drum on my tzr 350. since the engine has been rebuilt it has always been a pa in to get into neutral. I have checked /set the selector claw. the clutch plates fibre and steel plates are within spec as are the springs. the centre adjuster set correctly. I use 5/30 oil in the gearbox. since fitting the after market clutch drum and damper rubbers I have no problem selecting neutral. I stripped the clutch drum off the bike at the w/end and this is what I found. there was at least 8mm movement of the basket on the gear. when I got the rubbers out I measured each rubber in four places and took an average for each. small rubbers were 18.345mm 18.290mm 18.370mm 18.255mm / the large rubbers were 21.015mm 20.900mm 20.855mm 20.855mm . as you can see the Yamaha damper set up is four small and four larger . the wiseco rubbers are all the same size. video wont load up ,bugger.

I know what you mean.. If my memory serves me right (this must have been about 7 years ago), I'm pretty sure it was an LC clutch I took apart. Not sure if the YPVS clutches has this rubber slop thing going on.
