Hi Guys, Was checking oil level today on my 250 lc. Noticed it was grey in colour. Bike is running fine and coolant level seems ok also. I didnt put the oil in the bike ,so is the colour grey as a result of aluminum clutch plates?? I was expecting the usual browny oil colour. Thanks Travis

Other than coolant it is possible to have 2 stroke oil mixing with the gearbox oil. That would change the color but dont think it would make it loom gray.
I would change the oil and run it a few days and check again...

It could be 2-stroke oil getting in there.
Last year when my oil pump seal went, my gearbox oil was originally light brown, 2-stroke oil red and it made a horrible shite colour mixed together.....lol

A small amount of coolant will turn it grey

I have had the oil change to dark grey from normal use. Appears to be from the clutch plates.
