Hi New addition to the garage ! I met Fastas 1 at the weekend, and bought his lovely 385 Hybrid; Very pleased with it, Mike has done a lot of work so far. Needs setting up and a paintjob to finish, but it will be a trick Lc for sure. Dusty

Lovely, so that's where it went, it was one of only a few bikes I was thinking of bidding on, (when it got listed).
Doesn't look like it needs much work.

Hi Really needs paint and setting up on a dyno. Mike has put so much into this bike and never got to ride it. I wasnt in the market for another lc but when i saw it and he decided it had to go i couldnt resist. Its got so many trick bits fitted it was my type of bike. Will be in the que behind the blue hybrid though !!

Nice one Dusty. I'm glad it's gone to a forum enthusiast and nobody was just buying it just to profiteer, which, although difficult circumstances for Fastas1, he must be delighted that it's gone to a forum member and in particular yourself. Keep us updated with progress.

Hi Mike is a nice fella, and life hasn't been kind to him regards his MS. The time and effort, not to mention money, that he has put into this is immense. Both of us like the same things in an Lc, so I hope the finished bike will do Mike proud. He is not too far from me, hence I went to look - not with the specific intention of buying, but just because I like looking at Lc's and pv's and meeting other forum members. His illness means riding is very difficult now plus the DVLA have suspended his licence, so he decided it had to go. I picked it up Monday but have been so busy since I haven't had time to really look it over, so I'm looking forward to getting it out of the garage on Saturday. My priority is still the blue hybrid as the engine is on the bench ready for a rebuild, but there will be little jobs I can do on this when time allows. Dusty

Very nice that, gonna be a beaut when it's finished Is it just an optical illusion in the picture or has it got a really short wheelbase ?. The rear wheel looks really tucked in and the front rake looks very steep ?.

Hi looey Optical illusion mate. Its got nk custom yokes which are new and completely rebuilt forks so pretty sure its all straight ! My aunt died in february and left me some money in her will which was nice. That was the only way i could buy it. Wouldnt want to waste it now would I !! Dusty

Cheers. I hope mike will be pleased when its finished. The rake may look steeper as it has a deeper rad from mad biker designs plus the rentec guard. The steering lock is quite restricted from side to side but its the same on my blue hybrid with rgv forks. Dusty

Same as my Hybrid, not a lot of lock at all It's fine riding but you go tearing into somewhere like a car park or your driveway and need to turn quickly, then it's....... OH SH******TTTT

Yeah having the steering lock issue with mine at the moment with billet yokes from Andy at Blease engineering (Spondon 440) and RGV forks. Wanted to use the standard rad cover which restricts it a bit more I think. also issue with steering lock but nowt a dremmel won't sort. Happy building you got a lot on now!
Cheers Gaz

Hi Andy.
Yeah it's the security steering lock mate nothing to do with the triple clamps you made they're absolute top notch!
Just need to grind the bracket on the frame back a bit so that the lock will engage.
Cheers Gaz

Andy,
Theres nothing wrong with them at all. They fit great, It's just the usual things you come up against when making a hybrid.

Im glad Dusty is on my wavelength. So glad your happy mate, im truly gutted to see it go. I will still be lurking on the forum and still have a huge interest in 2 strokes although it may now be motorcross or race related due to DVLA The rake does look extreme but like Dusty said the fat rad and rentec add to the illusion and I think the all black forks etc do too. Keep posting the updates Dusty! Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike I will be happy to keep you updated I haven't had any bike time lately - I've got some pretty big diy projects on the go all at once that are keeping me out of the garage. Hope you are well mate and improving Regards Dusty
