I've got a log book for a mk2 rd with no frame and a mk1 frame all powdercoated and no log book or idea of reg is there any way of finding out reg or buying a frame with no numbers ? Any help would be great

At the moment I think the best you could do is re frame the 'bike' with the logbook with the powder coated frame. If DVLA came out to look youd need to show a more than 50% pile of parts for the logbook bike. Obviously the Mk1 > MK2 would be an oddity but at least you save the old reg and the coated frame.
There's some new DT frames on ebay but the seller fails to state whether or how much of the frame number is present. Chances of a NOS RD frame are rare though

Yea thought I'd have aload of hassle think I'll be scrapping the lot then :-(
