Triumph 83mm calliper conversion. Hi, looking for some feedback on this conversion. F2/R Have any of you managed to use the Triumph original hoses in this conversion, especially the crossover one? Any other advice appreciated. Many thanks

Hi I’ve just fitted a set of 83mm Triumph callipers and here’s some feedback.
The original Triumph cross-over brake line will fit yet, its tight, and after a while it might chamfer on the mudguard.
So I decided to use the cross-over line I already had on the bike, as its longer and has a good clearance over the muddy. The front bakes were using a 2 line system with a crossover line.
I got hold of a set of good condition callipers and then gently pushed out the pistons half way, with an airline, and cleaned them. You can use a bit of wood to clamp two opposing pistons while you gentle blow out the other two pistons.
I think someone, in the past, has fitted a new front master brake repair kit because bleeding went really well- it only took about ten minutes with the good old fashioned hand and basic bleed kit with a non- return valve. I’ve used a set of EBC pads (FA 236) and so far they seem sweet with no squeak.
I might use some different banjo bolts and alter the position of the lines in the near future. I'll see how it goes and seek some advice
Then a gentle test ride... Wow! What a difference! I thought that the front-end would violently dive down, yet it isn’t too bad with standard fork springs. The feedback is good and progressive.
I don’t mind that the Brazilian babe is slack in her rear end or the frame is flexing as well as the front forks- that’s half the fun! Yet shite brakes worry me, especially if some idiot pulls out on me while I’m in the band. Another bonus is I can attack the twisty bends better- happy days!
