blank engine numbers

Hi I have a 125 lc mk2 engine with no engine numbers stamped on it ... I posted a pic on Facebook and was told it was common practise by main dealers if replacing an engine case to leave the numbers blank unless requested by the customer.. has anyone else got casing with no numbers stamped ? ... cheers

hi yes I have no numbers on my cases as my other set were no good but I have still got the old ones in case I have trouble from police
