Any recommendations for Cylinder reliners around Liverpool / Manchester area?
Got an RD400 cylinder that needs doing

PJME - I've had a good few done and always been very happy with them, they are based in Wolverhapmton, so not quite in your area of choice, but postage/courier is only about £8.50 with hermes to send them

John the Bore from Gramps said my cylinder is damaged and needs fixing coz it will catch a ring, someone on the aircooled forum said nah just needs the port dressing and the ring doesnt go that far down....Im totally lost now dont know which direction to go  |

It maybe ok but looking at the general condition of the bore I would just have it re-lined. With damage like that my first question is how did it happen, its either a hamfisted porting attempt or its been caught by something which suggests its on an area thats loaded by the piston.
If you go through the cost of a rebore and piston and then there's a chance it wont be ok its not worth the risk.
