Just apply for a replacement doc with the 6. Have you only just got it? Could just be a DVLA error. Ian

A very very common thing on the V5's on Yamahas, is to have a 0 (Zero) instead on the - (hyphen), so that gives a seven digit number number after the 3 digit prefix (starting with a zero obviously). I'd suggest you try and strip the paint carefully where the numbers should be (I've done a couple in the past by masking the area and using paint stripper or thinners etc.) Thing is, if you can't see the frame number, how do you know the identity of the bike ?, or that the V5 you have is for that frame ?. A visible VIN/Frame number is required on all vehicles registered on or after 1st August 1980. If one can't be found an MOT shouldn't be possible and the DVLA informed !. Good luck changing any frame number on a V5 with DVLA
