Today I did get an as new never fitted autisa kit from a guy who bought one back in the 80's for his LC which got knocked off before fitting it and didn't bother riding bikes again for 20 years! He kept the kit in his parents house packed so not even a spot of dust on it! I had the last new big bore from Grampian motorcycles 15 years ago so these things must be getting thin on the ground! I've got 2 other bore kits. 1 is cracked across one of the head bolt threads(scrap) and the one I have on the bike is on it's last bore size using DT175 +2.0mm :-( I'm wondering if I'm better selling the new kit to pay for a motor rebuild or keep it? What do these kits go for now as I can't find any listings on eBay etc!!! Any ideas guys?

The bore kit was kept in the house....unfortunately the engine was kept in the coal shed since 1995! The guy who owned it fitted new mains and seals in 97 but having seen the oxide on the motor I thought it would be shot. Shockingly no rust on the big end bearings but thank God he never fitted the big bore as the Conrod is on its last legs showing blueing from heat and the thrust washers are about to break up!!! Wouldn't have lasted long that's for sure!

Would be interested in either the one you have with the dt175+2.0 piston or the new bore kit if you want to sell either
