Alt 28mm Carbs

Just wondering has anyone fitted alternative carbs to their 250/250 AC?

I'm thinking of fitting some Aprilia RS125 28's on the 250 engine, can of worms?

1 have two original mikuni's but they look like they were found under a marsh
I have a couple of 28mm Dellorto's here in better shape than the originals
just wondering if it was possible/or worth the hassle fitting them?

any ideas?

I'd stick with what was on there. See if you can find someone with and ultrasonic bath to clean them up for you, get the worst off first with parafin and toothbrush. They should come up pretty well. I've done quite a few of them myself.

I think the agro factor of trying something else would be a real pain in the @rse!

you can still buy the carbs new from Norbo, Allens performance or even eBay

thanks, will try an ultrasonic clean [or 2] and take it from there.
