I have been advised to use genuine head gasket and not pattern one so I want to use the same for base gasket but the one that came was tin and I remember them being card and I'm not really sure if it is a propper base gasket for a rd125lc I just don't want to stripe it down and rebuild it again to find out it leaks and have to do it all again

I have used a tin base gasket and head gasket both genuine items on my rebuild.
I can dig out the packet for the part number if you like.
