Am I right in thinking that this weekend is the Italian themed weekend where they close the pedestrian routes and thrash ferraris and ducatis around the city? Been one before and it was a good turn out! I know it's around this time of year as it snowed last time I went with the family.. Everyone is a winner wife = shops man = petrol (thumbs up)

can you play in the multistory car park as well, the precinct reverberating with the sound of 2 stroke, would be a nice trip down memory lane never used to need a special day for that hehehe, but then again there used to be a moody club to go to called the Shelley or whatever, no doubt now a wine bar, oh the shame.

In 1985 I would've been on my Marsbar 350LC with bright yellow wheels !!!

I know the raceway down south water by pass that was the fastest I have been on a bike down there many years ago from southwater to Horsham 178 (clearing throat) not something to be proud of but I was young and it was many years ago. Anyway.... Do I go on the lc, or the ktm 950?? It looks like I'll be going with a mate Saturday he will take his yds 7 or his Honda 500/4 or his triumph thruxton, I could tax the kwak and take the z650 but realistically it'll be the lc or the ktm

Ahh neo, we know you meant KPH . That southwater bypass must have been the speed testing road for half the nutters of the county. Fastest i've been in a car on that road, flat out in a 1984 911 turbo some shady left hooker, frightening, only to find later on close inspection that it had been in a major shunt at some point in its life. Young, dumb and full of cum as my old Dad used to say.

That's nowt that!!............. I've been in a Reliant, in the fast lane, passing everything, with the speedo needle off the clock and on the fuel gauge. And on the way home after a weekend of pissing it up in St Helens............the front suspension collapsed and locked the front wheel at 50mph ...... 911s indeed....pah!!! And no! it wasn't being towed by a jag! or in the back of a transit!

Funniest bit was, we got it welded up by a bloke who had no welding rods, so he cut some out of a sheet of mild steel and bird shit welded the offending items together.................The following week end was Easter, so 4 of us tents and all gear pile into it. It collapsed again, probably under the weight of the mild steel bird do dos, so we left it there in a layby and caught the bus, train and bus home. (Had to go back and move it at the insistence of the local old bill a month later and gave it to a farmer after tying the suspension back together with rope )
