Did the Rd 400 E come with a chrome or black chain guard? Does anybody know if new ones are being reproduced? Thanks.

Hi
They came with black chain-guards, if you want a chrome one, as I did, look for the best black one you can find and get it chromed. I do think they look better than the standard one but I'm sure other people's taste would go for standard.

They came new with a satin black chainguard.
If you want a chrome on then get one from a RD250 RD350 A or B model, they are almost the same but they come in chrome...
I have one on my special

Thanks guys, I really fancy a chrome guard, might break up all the black powder coating a bit, I'll keep trolling through ebay for one. If anyone has a decent one for sale please let me know.
