Phone Granby's for new prices, if you can find nice used ones less than half you're on the right road. RDLC crazy also had some new bits for the ypvs. They're getting very rare from breakers now, most of the European bikes that had them fitted have been bought up via ebay over the last 10 years. Japanese yahoo auctions will be the easiest place to find them, search on RZ 125

Do you mean you locked valve, ypvs gives it cleaner power and not flat from pull away etc

I've got an early full power (26hp according to the specs) 2RH/2RK TZR125 with the fully working YPVS. When I first got the bike I wasn't sure the YPVS was working properly, so dissconneted it and tried the bike with the valve pinned open. Oh my god !, it went from being a really nice tractible ride (and pretty fast for a 125), to absolutely flat as a fart unless in the power-band .

part of the fun of a 2 stoke the power jump, There's a big difference between the power jump coming in on a 2-stroke and the inability to accelerate at all in any gear above 2nd gear except from 7,000rpm and above. There's plent of power jump with a working YPVS when 26hp comes on tap. I also have a full power 10W MK1 125LC and that fies but is a bit of a pain in the ar*e out of the power band.....lol

I will probably do a YPVS conversion on my non-mint MK1 for my retirement

By contrast, the TZR with the YPVS is a really nice ride, comfy all day and still with a great power band (and probably faster than the Mk1)

Lol try riding a DT125R with the valve pinned open, the shorter gearing makes it a nightmare as the power kicks in about 1500rpm short of the redline.

my mk3 rd, power kicks in at 6 with allspeed, would not want a servo kit, had a stan 350lc then after a few years chopped it in for a pv350, hated the smooth power delivery so went back to a 350lc, good fun keeping the revs above 6, still would not want to commute on it much if i want smother power delivery got my mt-07 four stroke
