Have mate who has just bought the old style retro pipes with separate down pipes for his 250e , looking at the size of the front pipes they look like they were designed for the C/D models and the right hand pipe has an indent for the earlier model rear brake pedal , he hasn't road tested it yet.

Went to see my mates RD250E yesterday that's he has just fitted the retro JR. pipes to and what a pile of s@it they are , they are made for the early models and come with the smaller diameter front pipes and then there's a massive dent on the top of the right hand pipe were the early models rear brake lever crosses the pipe. There's no front bracket to mount under the frame like the standard pipes or microns fit , and the main stand has no bump stop so it dents the left hand pipe , no bad for £550 !

I put some Higgspeed pipes on an RD400E which has since been sold. They looked and sounded great and the bike went very well with them on.
My RD400E special has made to fit Mike Abbey pipes which match the Abbey tune. I had the silencers made so they look like large can alspeeds.
