Can anyone help me with the following problem? Cut a long story short. I have brought a servo kit of Norbo which has come of a F2. Having wired it all up to my MK3 loom, matching all the correct colour wires to the ones on the loom, the valve will work and do it's cycle when ignition switched on. When bike is started the valve moves to position. I have tried riding it when set up like this however valve stays closed, will not open and rev past 7000 rpm. Having phoned Norbo, he says he has sold many F2 kits to people with 125lc and they have never got back to him saying they had a problem setting it up, apart from one person. Apparently this bloke had the same problem as me with the valve staying closed. To get around it he swapped two wires around that didn't match in colour and it worked! Also am i right in saying that like the 350 ypvs's, the semi circle on the pulley must align with the hole in the centre of the two marks in the powervalve housing? Any help would be much appreciated as have tried many combonations with pulley, wire setting, etc, i'm now running out of options.
If anyone knows exactly where ive gone wrong, it may be easier to phone me on: 07768003084
Thanks
Scott

as you know i have a import dt125 ypvs, it was dismantled and in bits so i had to start from scratch to reset it up. the powervalve itself works from the inner side of the barrel that is to say that the edge of the ypvs NEAREST the piston does the job. i set it up by setting the p/v on the barrel first, using my finger to set it flush with the exhaust port and checking that the marker on the valve lined up with the mark on the casing (all where the p/v cables join). next i set the servo so that both cables were evenly spaced from the motor, then joined them up and hey presto it worked. the valve starts to work at about 5-6000 rev's on my bike.
because i have yet to ride it properly on the road i might have to reset the settings as to have the valve closed at idle and opening at rev's (which is of course the right way for it to work), but as its an import i have no instructions to work from. i will have to work out the actual angle of turn the valve does and reset it closed to that angle then it should be fully open at high rev's.
that might be your problem, you are setting the valve open as opposed to setting it closed, follow my sentence above to (hopefully) get it working.

No not yet. Been asking around, and a couple of people have said it will not work correctly on 125lc because it only sparks once and the 350ypvs sparks twice? Don't know whether to try one more control box before i give up?! Asked around for specific 125lc control box and motor but been told that they are extremely rare and no one can get hold of them. Any ideas mate?

The 1 spark thing i have heard befor and its crap . A lc and YPVS have a redundent spark so they spark on the up and dpwn stroke so they do not mis a spark. In other words they both spark on every stroke at the same time. And i know for a fact they do work as i have been told so by people that have done it.
If you need a box i am happy topost one to you and you can drop of the other one next time you come around or you can just post it back. its up to you.

Okay mate that sound's good, I will try another box and post mine back up to you within next week or so. Do the boxes work on a potentiometer or something? Do you think that's what may have gone and it's not reading the rev's properly?
Thanks
