I have breakdown cover through Peter James insurance , but agian I haven't sat down and read the small print. I asked the guy on the stand at Stafford show about it ,it just said call the number and you get someone out. But how long you will have to wait at the roadside , and where they will take you I am not sure. Must say if you only use a bike for pleasure all you need is to be brought back home safe and sound , then fix the bike yourself. I have car cover with the RAC , have for years . At least with the RAC or AA you will get someone out in a set time not a sub, sub contract garage who may not know about bikes or a safe way to load and tie them down .
Nothing in life for free!

Britannia Rescue - Now LV. Covers older vehicles and trailers/caravans, which AA do not cover. I'm with Britannia Rescue as well and have been for 10 years + It's something like £120 a year but that's Deluxe and Personal cover for me and the misses which covers us both IN or ON anything (cars, bikes, vans upto 3.5T), even if you're a passenger in something that breaks down. It also covers the main registered vehicle for the same level of cover throughout Europe. No restriction on distance etc. and have used them a few times over that period of time with a perfect service each time. No pays you money and you normally get what you pay for
