Cool. One question tho, the non crimped connectors are not ADR compliant are they? Ive had to change them on a car once cos of this, tho it was a few years back. hmm... Only for track use, but it has made very aware of what makes a good hose. Ahh of course, makes total sense tho and nothing wrong them except the ADR issue. Wish i could make my own for the road bikes, would save a lot of hassle. I could just buy/borrow/steal a swaging tool... er... lol

Are we seeing an increase in dodgy ebay users who are just after the money and don't deliver the goods. I have come across a few that have set up for a week or two and then been closed down with all traces removed. eBay/Paypal refunds the money but this has to have a hidden cost somewhere that we end up paying for in increased fees.

Couple of years ago I gave away loads of Yamaha marked tools on here to enthusiasts. It’s bloody ridiculous my advert for original air sadly seems to becoming a reality.

So this is the sort of thing I am seeing more of. You pay your money on eBay by Paypal and a few days later this sort of letter arrives offering to refund the money - excuses are no stock usually but this is a new one. Are they just getting your money for a week for some nefarious scheme?

I reckon youre better off getting your cash back on that cable, It highly likely it wont fit anyway as none of the aftermarkets available now do. Sadly the only cable that really fits is the OEM. exy but good.

Thanks for answering my question on the air, went for nitrogen in the end. I had a parcel arrive from Japan this week, inside was some of those plastic air pillows... OEM Japanese air! I reused them to send on to someone else... did I just give away a bunch of cash i wonder?!

Where there’s muck there’s brass. The stuff we would have binned years ago jon, 2010 I sold a job lot of 350 Lc parts enough for 2/3rds of a bike no frame but most parts were there for £200 either on here or Alex’s forum thought the buyer was mad 🙄 he even drove up from Essex

Anything is repairable I suppose If you have a matching set of cases for your frame that has spun a bearing or threw a rod it's quite easy to mill out the number section then get these broken ones milled to match then weld the section in Only worth it though if you are picking these up for £100 or so as they ain't cheap to repair Steve

As you say anything can be repaired, so if you have a spun bearing or conrod damage why not repair those cases rather than spend another £235 before the repair bill? Jon

Jon Totally agree, changing an ID is not a legal practice I had a pair like that. Only the prefix was left I've only used them for cutting donor pieces out for other cases Used the section down by the gear change for my last build and going to cut the section around the clutch arm out to repair a set that are broken there Steve

I also had a good lower on its own so repaired it with that. Excellent repair job. Jon
