the inlets are different on one of the MK1 10W barrels, can never remember which one. Billy knows if he's around.

Here's my later Gold Wheel with a Y-2 Barrel I've also got a few first day of production bikes (Black wheels) that have Y-2 barrels and another later one with a Y-1 barrel An 82 MK1 barrel someone asked me to look out for that had no number. I've had 1984 MK1s with Y-1 & 2 and the odd 82

I have two square mk1 barrels one has Y-1 and the other has Y-2 could this just be a casting number and not a spec code

could this just be a casting number and not a spec code Quote other forum: "I work at a medical implant company and our knee implant component castings will often have a number batch on the raw casting. Maybe the y-1 came from the -1 mold and the y-2 just came from a different mold but still the same design. If that makes sense."

I have tried comparing Y-1 and Y-2 barrels and I havn't been able to find any differences. I think it's the same barrels tbh.

The YPVS inlets differs from the LC inlets though (but I assume we're not comparing YPVS to LC barrels in this thread?). YPVS inlet has a "boyesen port" in it.
