Porting , Gas flowing the barrel and reed cage.
Some people go the route of getting barrel re-sleeved and bored out to fit a YPVS 350 piston. I'd recommend getting a reedblock spacer of about 8mm to set the cage back slightly.

I completely agree with both of the above, if you haven't passed your test and you start making massive mods you will invalidate your insurance!
If you have and accident, even if it isn't your fault and they find out your bike is modified they wont cover you!

mine is tuned and have no reliability problems, with tuned motors so long as you change parts when needed no problem i change my rings every 1,000 miles and a piston kit every 3,000 miles i have heard the cagiva's can blow up once every 2 months i have even seen 3 that seized and scored the bore this was at 85 mph

i use 32mm flat slide carb taper ported to 38/39mm, ram air filter, spacer tube, air corrector kit, modified reed block, metal reeds on top and fibre at the bottom, opened out reed stops 16mm of lift on the bottom and 19 mm of lift on the top, rz 350 rubber inlet manifold, boost bottle, squish 0.96, 10 degree angle re cut into cylinder head, micron made by codnor long end can, exhaust port chamber 40mm tapering to header flange, br9/10egv/ev, non resistor plug cap, ported ypvs barrel power valve left open, flatted and polished piston crown combustion chamber in the head and the exhaust port chamber, runs silkolene pro 2 pre mix at 50 to 1, and re profiled the back of the reed stops for even more lift, at the mo more tuning then big bore ypvs in time to come

twostroker was asking about tuning parts for the lc not go buy rs mito or cagiva the best fun is making a slow bike quick any body can go buy a quick bike to start with i could even go and ride a r1 tomorrow but when you have done 180/200 mph for some time this gets boring suppose after this then it would be a r1 turbo 500 bhp but then in the end you would get bored of that power out put then what would we do next

the 200cc mito sounds fun,i like the idea of putting the 200cc engine in or just top end on so the bike stays learner legal and cheaper to insure.

you not considered trying to mod the lc to take an rs or mito motor, could be my old tzr did 115mph on the speedo with out full fairing and also have a big bore barrel for the lc, or a sdr 200 motor

Id say it depends what you are using the bike for and who you are riding with. and if its your only bike . If you have a biger bike then tune the hell out it why not . its nice to suprise a biget bike if you get a real fast starght from the lights and still pulling away at just over a ton . I love it . Just hold it for long last all .
If its a weekend toy or a bike pub ride each week and you race with other simuler bikes. Tuning is fine it will make it faster. You can make them go quight fast with a port and a few other mods . But they do take more looking after and can let go at any time. You may be lucky. I have had a coule of tuned up 125's and they went well for the entire time i had them no problems at all ever. But i have allso had others that have blone up when having a good thrash.
If you use the bike for work or use it a lot i would say just keep it standard and put a pipe on it and rejet and ajust the oil pump to compensate by doing a plug chop .
You will never get it to be over fat any way and a unresticted rs or mito will burn it of in a race every time. They are quight fast and reliable when set up correct and loads of fun as they are i thinki. Id say Love the bike for what it is and dont try to make it a 350lc it wont be.

I think going on a diet may be a good way of getting a few extra mph out of mine, I'm 16 stone! The heaviest I've ever been! But hey, I'm fat, I can diet! Some people will always be ugly!
