Hi there im new to this forum and i im hoppeing someone can help me i have just got a rd 125 lc mk2 1gm and i want to derestrict it unless it has allready been but i can not tell can some one please help many thanks

Has it got an aftermarket exhaust? If original is it stamped 10 near the hanger?

No it has 12A stamped on it

That's a Mk1 restricted exhaust. If it's not been done already, in the neck of the downpipe there is a restriction tube held in with 2 welds that can be ground off with a dremmel and the tube removed

Should only be the exhaust as far as I'm aware, certainly is on the Mk1

What main jet should it have in it as standard

155 if 10w on carb or for the 12a 195 is standard main jet.

Won't matter, as long as it's jetted correctly and not restricted in any way it should fly. I have 12A, 10W and 11Y carbs and mine goes just as well with any of them fitted

i have a 12a and a 10v from a dt i know, and to be honest the 10v with a 165 main jet short can micron runs best but every bike is different in its own little way
