Its a fast track but being such a long lap I think you could always find yourself a bit of space in the sessions and stay out of the way if you wanted to. I think your enjoy it

Thanks.
It was a really good day. The bike was flying!! If you was on a 600 / 675 or an older 1000 with less then 150hp then they was not seeing which way the bike went down the straight. I had the rev limit turned down 700rpm and I was 2 jet sizes rich on the main, but she never missed a beat all day. It was funny as in the briefing I had people taking the p*ss saying dirty old two stroke etc etc. At the end of the day people were coming over to me asking what the hell the engine was. Even the instructor who was on a CBR600 came over and said he came onto the straight carry more speed then me and then started to lose ground to it down the straight. I think it even converted a few people that day!!

Track days - no passing in the corners. Now, if you were allowed to just keep it on the pipe, you may have been able to convince a whole host of em! Interesting though, how far bikes have progressed. The bloke on what I assume was a GPz1100 (green with skinny tyres) looked to be capable of maintaining both line & speed through the turns. The blokes on the new bikes with their fat tyres simply waited for the straights. The GPz rider could get out of the turns but not keep up whilst your TZ was so far off the pipe waiting for the others to get through the turns that they left you for dead at the exits, yuou having to wait for a long enough straight to get past. Now that's just WRONG!!! It would be lovely if you could just ride under them on the brakes, round the outside of them through the turns and then just keep going at the exits. I trust that wasn't a 'fast' group.

What a bike! Well ridden too. Interesting to see the gpz750/1100 twin shock on standard running gear going round those modern race reps too!

Thanks. For the 1st time around the track it was a bit of a blur but good fun. Its a good place to prove the reliability, and I gained some good information.

Good on yer mate. It just shows how a good set up 2 stroke bike can perform - in the right hands ofcourse.

Interesting! Ive just watched your videos, you should prcatice what you preach!! You write like Graeme Crosby but ride like Bing Crosby!! Maybe you should read my post again. I wasn't writing about me, I was writing about you. Specifically, apparently being restricted by the 'no passing in corners' rule for track days. Insofar as my Bing Crosby performances, I don't need to justify how I ride to anyone. Asking if it was a 'slow group' may have got up your nose. 'Fast' groups don't usually have such a variety of lines, braking points etc. No so many registered bikes. Out here that is anyway.
