This was a fun project to make pipes for. Its an RD400E and one thing I had to do was change the sidestand for a modified GS500 one and it looks ok on the old Yam. Now I can see why there isnt many bespoke pipes offered for the E/F versions as the stand is such a crazy shape and gets in the way where ever it is placed in its travel. Custome is picking it up tomorrow and giving it a trial run then off to the dyno to see if all is well with the design.

There's not many nice looking pipes for the E , Allspeeds flare out at he back and I think these TSA's look too long and sweep up to high , the early Microns that bolted onto the original don't pipes looked good and retained both stands .

The customer is very happy with them and he had a popular set on before. His words were " it pulls fine then hits 5k and goes like a f***ing rocket now". He is dyno testing them very soon. I havent had a different model in so if you want to get some for another model I would need the bike here to fit them.

I think the shorter stubby looking items look best, not sure which ones perform best though.

Really like the style of the pipes on Pauls bike I'm restoring my first RD400 E and was thinking of changing from my std exhausts to something similar so any advice would be welcome

Have you sorted the misfire Tony and re tested it? Not yet Kenny. I have bought banshee coils new plugs and caps. Need to go up a size or two on the mains. Then Dave will dyno it again.. The misfire cannot be felt on the road.
