Hi and cheers for that mudguts. Is there any reason fot one side of the balance shaft being c3 and the other side not ?. Called the local yam dealer earlier and both needle bearings come to 32 quid so not to bad I guess. Rest will prob come from simplybearings.com who seem ok. Just seals to source now. Any reason why the waterpump seal is so expensive ?

I wondered that aswell. Just took all mine out last night bar the needle bearings as they are fine. Am just going to order all as C3. Cost for them at simply bearings comes in at £24.43 (all skf). Which means about 15quid cash at the local supplier! Lol Btw none of them removed was a c3 bearing but they were all koyo. Original Equipment.

C3 bearings have a bigger clearance to allow for expansion from heat, i would not get all c3, just the ones i listed, i did check with my yam dealer on the c3 bearings, left balance and mains only as they get hotter. but its such a small amount of clearance dont spose it will rearly matter. Been done for nearly 2 years now, still all fine. My bearing supplier said skf explorer were a grade up from standard koyo stuff, and there is a lot of fake stuff out there, but im no bearing expert so thats why i went to my local bearing specialist as thats all they do.
