Just seen this post - I recently started using EXOL in my 350 hybrid as I was fed up paying 13 quid a litre for TTS. So far so good, done about 300 miles and do thrash it. Seems fine and smells ok too and best of all is cheap (I paid £30 for 5 litres).

They seem to have good reviews and are a oil producer

Anything with a spec. of JASO FC or FD is well up to the job. Just look on the back of the bottle.

Good oil, i was paying £17 a litre for motul, switched to this exol fully syn stuff, under half the price and same spec, cant go wrong

Compared to motul 710, the exol optima fully syn:- is red not green, any slight overspill on the bottle says oily, the motul 710 residue overspill dries up to be thicker and more sticky, smokes for slightly longer ie 100 to 200yrds more with exol from a colds start, oil seems slightly more runny than motul, and under half the price, does not have the castrol r smell of motul but still smells of a nice fully syn 2 stroke oil. Time will tell but its well up to spec and much better than the stuff we used in the 80s. It mixes with motul 710 fine, i did leave some in a test tube for a couple of weeks but no seperation between the oils. Anyone got there thoughts on it.

Is this the 2 stroke oil everyone seems to be using nowadays?

castrol R didnt even premix that well and had to be used straight away or would start seperating from the fuel.a mate used to use it 35 years back in a 1980 rm125.smelled great out the tailpipe though! :-)
