Even genuine NOS tanks should still have the original soft wrap and box. Probably another case of it was bought for a project but never used and this guy's bought it thinking he can use it to make a fortune. Don't be too upset about not being your colours as if it was, you'd be even more disappointed to see it having to be stripped and repainted, if it is badly chipped. If you can get to look at it and inspect its overall condition then great. But I'd guestimate £350 for an absolute minter in any factory colour. IMO, I'd be willing to pay £200-£250 if it is in sound condition exception the paint. I'd also bargain with the guy that it has devalued as it's missing it's original packaging. Not that the box is worth anything, but shows neglectful storage. In the end you pay what you thinks it's worth to you. If he's haggling for lots of dosh, just walk away. True they don't come up that often, but there are hundreds out there. It's just a matter of time until they do show up. Good luck anyway.

I bought a black MK2 warranty replaced tank from a guy a few years back, it was basically NOS in an original box but had been removed from a bike because it was chipped on top it's hardly anything and mint inside obviously just need to get the chips repaired then it will be mint looks lovely on my bike it cost me £120 a bargain. And managed to win a white MK2 tank for one of my other bikes last year on Ebay for £90 it was painted by dream machine and unused since paint. So they are out there still just need to keep looking.

cheers chaps, i just got a nice old 125lc tank that was nos, but damaged and repainted..cost me equivalente of about 100 quid. less than paint so i was happy with that. just this other tank is not boxed, and not mint but nos. will cost me near on 200 quid to get to my home. so not cheap..but not too bad either.
i also bought a tzr125 nos tank that i mistook for one for my rd350ypvs..was in the same colours and they look very alike.. doohhhhh what a div.
