Anyone know how to setup the oilpump on an 80LC 1982?
mine hasnt been set in 23 years!

Take the oil pump cover off and start the motor up. You should be able to see the plunger moving in and out slightly, if you do not then hold the pulley right down towards the body of the pump. You should see about 2.3mm of movement at the plunger. Stop the motor with the plunger right out or use the kick start to do the same. Release the pulley and check the gap in between the large washer and the little raised heel on the pulley. It should be 10 thou or 0.25mm. Use shims to set the gap right. Cable adjustment; Use the top mark on the pulley lined up with the pulley side screw at the full throttle setting. Some models are set with a different mark at closed throttle but the position at full throttle will be much the same as the first method. HTH.
