rectifier hot on charging why... could be reason for battery drain then. am also looking out for nice un damaged white tank with blue decals fitted ( mikey any your way mate? ) cheers Ozzy

My best white tank from a nearly new bike had thick rust inside, typical. Working on the white vinegar method which brings it up mint but then rusts within minutes, it's got to go back on the bike as I don't have any spare, sorry.
I would try a different rectifier. Have you gone in and checked the stator as well?

hi mikey cheers, keep look out for me. yes think try a different rectifier too, but no not check the stator will have a peep too thanks, I bought bike some time ago but never did the engine re build. cheers oz

bad earth on rectifier can cause that
