Had pull chokes on my hybrid which worked fine but fancied changing to handlebar mounted choke. Bought a universal throttle kit from Venhill. Not much other option as the Kwak cable is no longer available. Luckily when I bought my carbs they had the choke cable fittings which I had kept. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Venhill-Universal-Split-Throttle-Cable-Motorcycle-Kit-great-product-Twin-/181404408814?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2a3c8b9beeI needed NOS switchgear for my last Lc2 hybrid so bought a right but the lefts are rocking horse poo so eventually found an F1 LH switch which looked the same apart from the wiring so I bought it and changed the internals. Liked the look of the original finish stuff so fancied a pair for my Lc2 hybrid so started looking for LH gear and found one from another model which had a choke switch. Few hours of work later this is the result Waiting for a CNC top yoke to turn up before final fit along with a NOS perch to match the switch finish and CNC levers Pity I can't start it as RH case is off Steve

Looking good I've used handlebar chokes on my last 3 bikes for PWKs, other switchgear that works is from RGV250 & KR1s250 or if you have hydraulic clutch the Aprilia RSV clutch master has a choke lever fixed to the side of it.

Nice bit of work. Personally I've found that simply pulling up on ONE (left) of the PWKs chokes is all that's required and only for about 30 seconds at that. Not a lot of motivation to dick around adding a handlebar control. That's using 130 mains and 40 airjets on JJH needles. Using the airbox tho, but a well modded motor as well

Yes the pull chokes did work with one but was more of a "trick" mod than functional.
Considering the bike has done only 500 miles in 2 years I could probably have not done 90% of it but it passes the time and satisfies my curiosity to tinker
It's either that or alcoholism.
Booze probably cheaper

It's a cool mod but like has been said, I just use the left hand choke only for 10-15 secs and that's all it ever needs Spring to Autumn.

Same here - the LC has pull up chokes on both carbs but only ever need a few seconds on the left one if at all.
On the Yamagamma I used a TZR lever mounted on one of the reed block bolts as you couldn't get to the carbs with the fairing fitted.

I used TZR as well, work well on PWKs.

I've got an R6 LH switchgear, the earlier ones had a cable choke.
But the chokes on my new PWK's are different to the older ones, so I still have pull ups fitted.
So I have some older style cable chokes for sale if someone wants them, I think they owe me a tenner.
