Whats your thoughts on conrods
In the past if the big end was going i would just replace the full conrod but i suppose if there is no damage or ill treatment to the rod why couldn't i just change the bearing..... Or is this not advised
Your thoughts

conrods and the eyes can stretch, i got a yambits one in mine now, jap kit made by long, fitted by yamaha as standard. been in for 2 years of thrashing still fine. if bearing went i would fit a new rod too as it would be false economy not to replace it, unless i was well skint of course.

Well the bearing hasn't gone as such it was really just while it was out I could just replace the bearing I'm sure the rod is ok think I might risk it and just replace the bearing

The only reason to only replace the conrod bearing is if you're paranoid that the old bearing cage has worn thinner and might take a cr*p on you. If you have play in the conrod, then replace it all. The conrod wears far more than the bearing rollers.
