I live new Mansfield mate . If you have a different one then give it a go you never know . you don't have a cross over pipe like the twins so I don't think it will do any thing but give it a go any way mate id like to hear if it did do any thing .

The volume of the boost bottle is supposed to match the engine displacement from what I've read. But then I also read that they are supposed to be directly above the cylinder and none of Yamahas are. I don't think they are designed to be a power gain. They are there to draw off a chunk of mixture to prevent it from passing through the carb twice and thus becoming a double rich mixture. I think they just cure flat spots in mid range power. I think changing the size will change the point in the rev range that will affect. As Norbo says though, go for it. Experimenting is always worth a shot. Its not going to cause any damage. The DT125R's boost bottle changed without the engine changing or carb. on this model in 1993 www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/genuineparts/9139/6/yamaha%20dt125r/intake?uid=0it has a different bottle to the earlier 1988 one below www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/genuineparts/9104/6/yamaha%20dt125r/intake?uID=0The one on the 1988 model was also used on the belgarda TZR125R models which use the same engine but a 4mm larger carb.
