Hi guys. Just getting the bike back together now and have a quick querie. Got all the wiring nearly sorted and most things now working. Not got it started yet as carb is being overhauled but my question is. When I put the ignition on and put the light on I get my side light working. I can also get the high beam working but not the dip beam. Does the engine need to be running for the dip beam to work ? Just seems strange that I can get the high beam and side light going without the engine running but not the dip beam. Is this normal if not what should I be able to get without the engine running ? Cheers in advance. Gaz

I'm not too familiar with the smaller LCs but if the main beam comes on without the engine then so should the dip beam. Have you checked the bulb itself to make sure the dip beam element is intact? If it's ok then check the switch and the connectors ect,

What bike is it ?. If it's a 125LC, then all electrics should work without the engine running.
