Took part in an enduro race last weekend, at Llandrillo forest near Bala, North Wales.
Screw me it was an eye-opener! Great fun though, the vid starts on the 2nd lap, and I bin it at the end! eejit!

I think i heard a faint "fook" at the end!
Nice vid mate, enjoyed that...what a great way to spend a shitey January Sunday, I used to do a lot of green lanning and enduro's on my old KMX200 but everywhere I used to ride was closed to off roaders many years back, that course looked a lot of fun.

I did swear a little! Unfortunately as I had destroyed the front mudguard I had to retire a lap from the end thanks to a lack of vision!
Great day though, will do another soon, once the bike has had a bit of money spent on it..
We do a fair bit of green-laning around these parts, good fun in winter!

Its scary the speeds you lot reach with tree stumps either side of you! Straw bales scared me! It's only when you hit them that it becomes a problem. I'm racing at the Manx this year, there are some similar obstacles to contend with over that course!! This is a funny clip, of me conning a mate!

I don't know how you reckon you don't know what you're doin, you looked pretty quick to me. Made me laugh early on when yr in the trees and you go off piste and the other rider reckons he's gonna pass you then gets stuck lol. Hoping to do some enduros later this year but my pace will be a lot more sedate

I wasn't the slowest, but bugger me there were some fast lads out there! Hopelessly out-classed on my 21 year old shonker of a bike.
Well worth a go though, am planning on doing a few more once I've made the bike a bit easier to ride. You cannot believe how hard it is to ride a bike for an hour solid on terrain like that! I was knackered!!

Great vids, I do enduro and green lane riding too on a Yamaha 2005 WR250F (4 stroke)- where the WR stands for Water Resistant. It hates water and used to cut out during river crossings and deep water. Now I sussed it out by re-routing the carb vent tubing (thanks GOOGLE - other search engines are available).
When you crashed in the first vid I could see that was coming PMSL.
Off road riding is great fun and it really makes you a better road rider. But as my years advance 3 hours race is hard on the old bones !

Hi Bush,
Yeah it was a WOR event, well run, proper laid back compared to club racing!
Racing an SV650 at the Manx, minitwin legal 73hp so think I'm gonna get battered by the supertwins!!

WOR do some crackin events, and like you say run a good event..some proper quick lads in them.
Had the option to go in the same class as you for the manx...but have opted for the formula 2 classic. as a newcomer so plenty to learn !
Enduro. There's a great event at long mynd once a year..3 hr in the forest at the top. some good climbs and scary drops too. Manchester 17 run it in October . well worth a try. Bro used to have a crm..deceptively quick and don't tire you out as much as a converted crosser,.was as good when he sold it as when he bought it...unlike the gas gas that replaced it !

We should be at the Classic TT too this year helping with the spannering and pit crew with PACRE Honda racing a Honda CB350/4. May take my RD500 if we can squeeze it in the van with all the other crap we seem to take each year. Good luck with the racing and will come and find you all being well.

Hey up Thai
Where are based if youve been doing events with WOR..
I had a kind of go at MX couple of years ago but not very good. I was with Wirral MX events at Babell, Norley and ours at Puddington. Cheers Ian
