Hi after a little help please, after removing the carbs for cleaning on my lc/hybrid the cables keep pulling out of the slides?? Is there a knack to putting them in? Tried various ways but the spring/clip/retainer thing seems to let the cable pull through after a few twists of the throttle? Cheers.

I'll second bending the metal tang a bit.
Remove them and bend more of an angle in them and refit.
Usually sorts it

Sadly the parts are discontinued from Yamaha. Get to 10 posts and you can ask on the wanted page in the classifieds. Someone may have some spares Good luck Dusty

cheers dusty.I dint know they were fitted, first ride out on my restored LC 350 it started misfiring and belching oil out from right hand exhaust. I thought oil seal had gone and was going to take engine out till i removed carb top and just cable came out.I will try and make a pair Cheers John
