Is the main fuse box assembly available new or is it part of the main wiring loom??

It is part of the loom assy. I did fit a new fusebox to an old loom years ago but since replaced the whole loom with a new Yamaha one after many connector repairs.
It's possible to get Gen. Yam looms for a good bit less than the Yamaha list price.

I got a yambits fusebox and it was crap the plug was really cheap hard plastic and the fuses in fell apart as soon as you touched them, I binned it and got one from norbo which was a lot better. But having said that a new loom is the way to go.

You will be better off buying it from Norbo I got one and fitted it in the summer.
