anything i should know before i start the assembly ? like on a 4lo make sure you put the rear shock through the inner mudguard thing not put the shock on bolt it all up do loads more then find out you need to remove it all to put the guard on as it slots through it ? anything like that to look out for or is it pretty straight forward ?

what about the loom ? glad you said that with the air box as engine was going in first

Whoever designed the airbox assembly needs kicking round a car park in Japan :-(
Must have been the first thing in on the production line, you can get it in/out with the motor in but it involves tears, swearing and disappointment :-(
I tend to put the motor in last when I'm doing a rebuild on any of the RD's/TZR's, makes life a lot easier IMO

I agree my first RZ and I made sure it was in there ready - far too early though, bloody thing gets in the way of everything else bungy cord handy to keep it where you want it.
