I have just bought a Brazilian ypvs m reg. it has 6000 miles on the click and looks mint. I want to make sure it's is original but I'm finding the odd thing that doesn't match. Front brake cylinder was very spongy, but in closer inspection it would seem it is clamped differently. Has it been changed? I suspect so. Why do people change them? Aldo brakes are really spongy and I've Re-bled. Brake lines move when lever pulled. I suspect lines gone , any other ideas? Its twenty five five years since I had one and I would like to know what to check for. Any ideas most welcome. She fires first time, runs well. Handles fine apart from front brake. Rear one works better than front!!! Any facts on Brazilian ypvs? Not opinions, I know the purist opinions. I just wanted a good bike for a great price. Hope I got it! I'll post a pic .

Welcome to the site. First get a photo bucket account. copy the bottom coad and paste it in to the topic. photobucket.com/then we can see if what you is standard . People do change them as its often cheeper then getting a new mas cylinder if the old one stops working this chould be whats hapend it should look a little like a coffin in shape if its standard , .

... wheels should be white ... Wheels should never be white on any bike. Stupid idea. I will be changing the colour of the wheels on my Brazilian to red like this one.

I have the decals put on now from image works derby. Fantastic. Yes wheels have been repainted quite well. I will be replacing the yamaha decals above the lights. Is it missing ypvs along the back near the grab rail? The grey flashes I'm not do keen on. Not really a purist but we'll see. I might put then on. Dunno.

Should have Yamaha in red on the joining tile behind the grab rail.
