3 of my mates (and me) all have Hybrids and no-one paid less than £4000 so I don't think they come up cheap ever. That doesn't look silly pricewise but there's still a lot of work to get it anywhere near on the road. Depends on your mechanical and engineering skills of course but it's not as easy as it sounds, that's why I bought one.

No not to buy a hybrid cheap but to buy a bike to turn in to one as I've restored 3 rd now but fancey doing a hybrid thanks pal

If you can find one with most of the parts on it you want then buy it cos they aint cheap to build, mine cost 6K to build & 2 years work.

saw that the other day and think he has had it on before.
to be honest I don't think the asking price is bad considering a good motor is £500 and the other bits added up will be over the asking price.
reckon you could finish that and have a decent hybrid for around £2500 all in which is a lot cheaper than starting from scratch, donor bike would be near 1k

I'm thinking the same, I've also looked at that one but it has been on there before. Makes you wonder why ?
