would do bit its in bits haveing swing arm done at the min it a 1984 when i got it was red butt i dont think it was ment to be that

Like Mellow says - the frame or engine number will give some clues - just the first part will do if you are worried about putting it on t'internet.

If its a 125 Frame/ engine nos : Mk1 10W- 000***/ 1984 Then 12A 100*** 1986 Frame/ engine nos : Mk2 1GM -000*** Frame/ engine nos : Mk3 2HK 000*** Colours : Mk1 White with red decals, White with blue decals, Candy blue with grey decals and in 1984 Red with white decals. Colours : Mk2 White with red decals, Black with red decals Colours : Mk3 White with blue decals. Plus the 2 above.

cos on the log book it say red and black

So likely to be a MK1, if its on a B plate then it will be August 1984 & 31 July 1985. I could well have been red with white decals. What makes you think it's not the original colour? I'm no expert on the 125s though - I'm sure there is someone on here that will correct me if I'm wrong.

cos it was a right mess as so far i got a new wireing harness and still geting them bits as i want it to be right as its a nice bike to get it wrong

Look at dvla'S website and search for info on buying your vehicles history. I was going to do it a few years ago, it was only a fiver back then.
Your bike is an 1984 MK1 UK restricted model . It could only be Red or White with the new style MK1 decals
