Coming back from mot and it started peeing it down,bike was running fine and them out the blue it started to spluter and wouldnt rev. Nearly home and it cleared. Bout a week later same thing happened,started spluttering. Ive changed plug,new coil,cleaned and put a in line filter in and it is the same. Is it something daft that am missing or something serious, any ideas anuony please cheers

I would check the stator low and high speed windings .also check the coil readings and kill switch

Also worth checking fuel tap but sounds like stator windings to me .

Daft question but do i need to take the flywheel off to check them and what am i looking for ?

No need to take flywheel off .just disconnect plug from cdi and follow test procedure in haynes
