Hi All i have recently purchased a frame and engine, 4l0 matching number, the frame is what looks like an 100% uk frame although when the numbers have been checked out it comes back with nothing. I have today given the bottom end a clean up for some pics for a forum member, engraved in the bottom end are a few letters/numbers. These are GAR LZV 901 GL And then "89" ? These markings are on the motor in a few places, underside, behind the clutch basket e.t.c. So someone must have really wanted to mark this motor up ? for what reason thats the question ? or another thought is are these irish number plates ? hence it being a uk frame ?

Lzv 901 is an southern Irish number I live here! You could contact Shannon transport our dvla for help. The gar would be gardi our police. The GL would be location. I would suggest she is possible stolen recoverd.
I can try get some more info if you need if your trying to register the bike you will need a tax book( log book) let me know if you need any help.
All the above are suggestions but that's my take on it. We do have the 4l0 uk spec bikes here.
