One of the problems with classic vehicles becoming popular (ask anyone with a classic VW) is that the scum have realised they are valuable and nick them to break them ect. I'm glad to hear it wasn't stolen though!

Shit, sounds like this could be a wake up call. Ever since my Yamagamma got nicked from the garage a few years ago I am really careful with security. Both my bikes are secured with Almax Series lV chains, ground anchors, 2 Motrax disc locks plus security lights. Nothings ever 100% safe but make the c()nts work for it or go elsewhere. Maybe its a good job you didn't catch the toe rag or you could find yourself on an assault or gbh charge. Sad but unfortunately the law isn't often in favour of the victim these days

Good job you didn't catch him in the act. There is always a risk of finishing second, or worse raven. Just let the police do their job, i.e. arrest your neighbour for suspected assault, and have words with you about leaving a bike unattended.
One of those disc lock alarms is usefull, they don't stop a bike being carried away, but they will alarm if your bikes moved.
