I only tinker with my 125 now and again, but I have a problem with the gear selector and the link arm gear pedal, although spacer fitted bolt on back of frame missing so as nut fixed to thread bolt, but when moving the gear selector just does not move up and down sweet enough.
wonder if a selector fork may be bent? wrong gear selector arm possible dt? fitted engine was said to have been rebuilt?
Is a dt125lc gear selector the same as rd125lc? I ask as the engine was said to have been rebuilt but it also came with dt parts.
so how much of the gear selector measures out from side engine case.can some one measure please or are the rd dt selectors the same sizes?
chain ok not to tight too.
cheers oz

I remember a few years ago buying a dt125lc engine, Thinking it was the same as the RD I went to fit the engine as it was complete only to find that the gear shaft was shorter so much so that there was no way I could connect the linkage. The other differences were the clutch basket and flywheel and stator, I made the engine fit eventually by fitting another selector shaft and stator of an RD,The bike was sold shortly after.

Cheers mate I think ya bang on as I found out that the shaft fitted currently looks longer than should be the fka who fitted it as done me no favours thats a fact. I pop picture on later to get the confirmation but I know ya right.
can a new shaft be fitted with out removing clutch basket etc by any chance.
