I think they are Steve, at least for the DT 125's.

That's what I thought ( hoped )
Now found a crack on the RH case, don't think they are matched as no number etched.
Luckily matching number on left case. Crack is bonded and was mot leaking but playing on my mind even though it is not in a stress area.

Probably should add that the 35E YPVS RH case is marked 10V

They all have the '10V' mold. I read they are machined in the factory as matching pairs though.

Torn over changing it for that reason but thought only the horizontal split ones were matched hence the etched matched numbers on the upper and lower cases. Not decided yet. Argh Probably be ok but just got the niggle as it's in bits so this would be the time. Steve

It should be ok, I doubt many people have bothered over the years.

Can it not be welded Steve?

Can it not be welded Steve? It's at a difficult bit, would have to take it to a welder to check. God knows how it has been done but there is a crack on the edge of the flange of the drain bolt, not all the way down to the cases so has previously had silicone on the threads. ( currently done with threebond ) You would think over tightening would strip the thread. Strangely still tightens ok Steve
