F2 uk bike red n white model................. after getting the wiring harness all re-connected I had no spark, all other electrics were fine,,, so I read a lot of threads to get some advice on this, and it seemed as if it could be the ignition key switch, or the right hand kill switch cluster,, soon as I disconected the key switch it worked "I have a spark" its very weak but it is a spark,,,, so any advice on how to get a better stronger spark,, ive also got new plugs in,,, and if all else fails, is a weak spark enough to run a bike with....... cheers in advance yet again guys.............

What bike? The spark on the stator generated models is not the strongest spark, but this seems to make no difference to the way the bike runs.

I'm not sure if the F2 uses the same system, may be some one else can confirm.

Spark wasn't to great on my f2 before I changed the coil but it run fine . Ignition grounds the coil to kill engine ( with ignition off it grounds the ignition line) doing away with the potential difference hence magneto does not generate a voltage. Check the cables to make sure these contacts opening on ignition switch when turning switch to on position. Not sure on colours of these two cables as lent my manual and not had returned yet.

Hi,
Is the switch the original one it worked with before?
Check the wiring colours match the other plug as there are different combinations for that type of switch. Had one that switched everything on when you put it to P. 2 wires reversed.
If it is gubbed simon5 will convert a replacement (only genuine) to the matching key.

Steve I got the bike as a non runner of norbo so dont know if its ever ran or not,,, the ignition key switch seems to be at fault as it sparks when the handlebar cluster kill stitch is attatched.. i will probably just disconect the wire to the key switch and fit a hidden switch somewhere else,, so the key is only for lights etc etc,,,,,,,

Check at the plug that these are in the correct places and match up. Steve
