Stripped some fzr250 clocks down today for the cases, I thought I would strip the old clocks down for parts and use it as a dummy run to see how to clean the glass covers inside and out, the answer you may or may not know is that the odometer knob on the side is screwed on and is a left hand thread , however it has some sort of threadlocker on and unless you remove the glass there is no way of holding it to undo it as far as I can see. also the speedo and rev counter needless just prise off.

Hey Hopper... the needles do prise off, but it's very easy to break em when you do. I used 2 little screwdrivers, one either side, and a thumb over the centre to steady it and stop the bugger flying off across the room. They do snap easily as I found out on my first attempt. Good luck.

The trip knob can be tricky but have managed to get a few off.
Use ( or make ) a very small screwdriver or the like and push it down the centre hole to try and get some resistance on the centre and try turning the knob. 9 times out of 10 it will screw off ( reverse thread)
