Hello everyone, I am trying to trace my wife's old RD350LC which she sold in 1988/89. it was her first "Big bike" after passing her test and she has very fond memories of it. It is still on the road according to DVLA and is now purple. A long shot I know but still never hurts to ask. It is a 1981 model registration number RDF641W.

Has anyone ever found their old bike like this??? Good luck to your Mrs anyway snowy. If she ever say's " I could kick myself for selling it" I have a size 10 steel toe cap boot for hire so one can kick oneself up the arse in a fit of hindsight and regret! Its quite worn as I have used it a lot in the past couple of years

I am going to buy her another LC, just keeping my eyes out for the right one. Thank you all for your comments and leads. I have tried the Facebook RD30LC group page and messaged their members so you never know I might be lucky. Snowy Here is another pic of the old bike

Looking for parts on ebay and saw the converted bike add so had to get it back. Had sold it to buy a 3 piece suite ( yeah great idea, can you guess it wasn't mine ) Suite gone - who cares Wife gone - woo hoo Bikes back - life is good. Steve

Well I never thought I would be able to track down the wife's old bike but it just goes to show the power of the internet these days. I must say that both my wife, Chris, and I are very pleased that the bike is still on the road after being saved from the scrapman by Wiggy. I am sure you will all agree he has done a wonderful job and she looks amazing. A truly awesome machine. I am now looking for another LC so Chris can relive her youth so if anyone has a project for sale please let me know. Again many thanks to all of you who have helped and shown your support and hopefully you will be able to offer more advice when we have the inevitable questions when we get another LC of our own.
Cheers, Snowy.
