Hi does anyone know what thread size the female thread in the end of the handle bars is on a mk3 rd125lc? It's where the bar ends would screw into.
The thread looks quite fine but mine is rusty and needs tapping out.
I think it could be 16mm metric fine or is it a imperial thread (5/8 unf?)

Think it's a unf thread it's definately not metric i've a tap at work i use just can't remember what it is and i'm 2 wks off but i'll look when i get back.

I thought the bar ends were 16 x 1.5 and a quick dab with the caliper suggests they are. Will try and get a nut for them later in week.

Only just tidied the garage in the new house (amityville house of horrors lol) after 2 years, unburied some of my own bikes and all spares now nicely racked out, so onwards and upwards :)Would be a good time for you to start another restore! |
